![]() Dr. Rosie Gilbert: Dr. Rosie Gilbert grew up in Alaska, where she earned a degree in communications from the University of Alaska Southeast. She moved to the Portland area in 2000, where she began volunteering and fostering for Multnomah County Animal Services. She became a veterinary technician at Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital and helped manage the blood bank in 2002. In 2007, she finished her veterinary degree at Oregon State University and published two articles on camelid medicine associated with research projects she completed there. Following graduation, Dr. Gilbert completed an emergency and critical care internship at Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital. She joined the Rock Creek Veterinary Hospital team in summer of 2008, where she has really enjoyed building relationships with clients and their pets. Her particular interests include surgery and emergency medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Gilbert likes snowboarding, exploring Oregon's wine country and spending time with her kitties. <<back to top>> |
![]() Dr. Marie Higel: Dr. Marie Higel is an Arizona native, has always enjoyed veterinary medicine, and takes pride in supporting the bond that clients share with their pets. While working towards her degree in veterinary medicine, she was a veterinary technician for over 10 years. She earned her degree in veterinary science from the University of Arizona in 2003. She then went on to earn her veterinary degree from Colorado State University in 2007. Her interests include surgery, emergency medicine, and exotic animals including aquatic species. She moved to Oregon in the summer of 2007, and happily joined Rock Creek Veterinary Hospital in the fall of 2009. Outside of work, Dr. Higel enjoys spending time with her husband, Joe, and their 2 dogs and 3 cats. She also bides her time with cooking, amateur nature photography, and enjoying all the ocean beaches, rivers, and lakes the Northwest has to offer. <<back to top>> |
![]() Dr. Greg Robbins: After completing his clinical year at the Royal Veterinary College at Edinburgh, Scotland, Dr. Greg Robbins graduated from St. George's University, Grenada, West Indies, with a DVM. He has an interest in small animal medicine, exotic and wildlife medicine and research. He currently has one cat at home. <<back to top>> |
![]() Dr. Marsha Simon: Dr. Marsha Simon was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, and moved to Hillsboro when she was nine years old. She attended the University of Oregon and Portland State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in geology. She earned her veterinary degree from Oregon State University and Washington State University in 2000 as a member of Phi Zeta, a veterinary honor society. Dr. Simon has been at Rock Creek Veterinary Hospital since shortly after her graduation in 2000. She believes in maintaining the highest standards in veterinary care. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, rafting and spending time with her family, including her four cats – Martin, Junior, Mousey and Big Kid. <<back to top>> |
![]() Dr. Jackie Simon: Dr. Jackie Simon's best memories of childhood have animals in them. Helping to rescue stray cats, sitting with her dog and grooming horses brought her to see what animals do for people. Jackie knows that animals show people what unconditional love is. Gentleness and compassion are qualities by which she lives. When not at the hospital, she enjoys being outdoors.
